When & Where

I figured that it might be a good idea to share where and when our wedding is taking place since I neglected to do so in the welcoming post... sorry!

First of all, the date!  T and I will be married on November 18th, 2011.  We chose this time of year because we both really enjoy the fall and everything that comes with it:  comfortable weather, amazing colors, family time, great food...

Our ceremony will be at St. Peter the Apostle church in New Brunswick across from Olde Queens.  This place is dear to us since we met at Rutgers University and this church is a landmark that all scarlet knights are aware of.  It was established in 1829 and its history is apparent when you look at it.  This is a truly amazing cathedral with astonishing Gothic architecture and old character that we feel will bring feelings of history, warmth and tradition to our ceremony.

We will be taking pictures at Rutgers Gardens if the weather is cooperative (cross your fingers!).  This place is very special to T and me because this is where he proposed on July 26th, 2010 at 4:00 pm.  We love this place because of its natural and rustic beauty.  The leaves should be many beautiful colors in November which will meld perfectly with our theme/pallet.

The fun will continue at the modern new hotel The Heldrich in the heart of New Brunswick (are you noticing a theme here...).  This place was first on our venues list so needless to say we are ecstatic that we will be celebrating with friends and family there.  The Heldrich is sophisticated and classy and will give our wedding another facet of interest after being in a traditional cathedral for the ceremony and a rustic backdrop for photos.  We put a lot of thought into our choices and think that The Heldrich offers us everything we have ever wanted in a reception venue: a grand, open space with high ceilings and unique lighting to mention a few of the many interesting aspects.
We are so very excited for this amazing day but there are still many decisions to make...
