Our History...

A little background information about T and me (in case you were wondering):

T and I met at Rutgers during sophomore year after I joined a sorority.  T was great friends with one of my pledge sisters.  We met at ARC on Busch Campus in front of the computer lab and T was left when my pledge sister and I ran out to lunch.  We got to know each other better in the weeks up to the formal where T was my pledge sister's date and my date was one of T's friends.  After the formal, T contacted me and we began to spend time with each other.  Our first official date was in April of 2006 when we went to Princeton.  We walked around the campus for hours just talking.  On June 4th, 2006 we decided to officially date.  We dated for 4 years until July 26th, 2010... when T proposed to me!

That day, I had been at a summer workshop and when I arrived home, he was very focused about going to Rutgers Woods where we have gone many times before to hike.  On our way there, we heard the Dave Matthews Band's "You and Me" (one of our songs) about 3 times!  When we arrived, we walked to a landing near the Raritan River where T took out a poem he wrote for me to read.  When I began reading I immediately started to cry because he wrote how he knew he wanted to marry me.  T was ready with tissues and he said, "Wait! There's more!"  He then got down on one knee and took out the ring and asked "Cole, will you marry me?"  I was crying and was amazed and surprised.  I couldn't speak and T had to ask again to which I replied, "Of course!"  We hugged for a while and then took many pictures!  We were so incredibly happy... I've never been so happy in my life!  When we left Rutgers Woods we called everyone but to my surprise everyone knew and was waiting for the call!  T had planned the whole day so we went home, got changed and went to The Frog and the Peach for a celebratory dinner for the two of us.  After dinner, we went to the Americana for dessert with our families.  The whole day was amazing and filled with so much love (minus the workshop I attended earlier that day)!

That was a very shortened version of our relationship.  We have been each others' shoulder, comic relief and support.  There were many memorable moments throughout our time together that have made us who we are and our relationship what it is today.
